At MeWe, we believe privacy is a fundamental human right. Unlike other social networks that sell your data to the highest bidder, MeWe is designed to protect your "Privacy Bill of Rights." Here is everything you need to know about how we keep your data safe.

1. Who owns my content on MeWe?

You do. You own 100% of your personal data, photos, and posts. MeWe does not claim any ownership over the content you share. If you decide to leave the platform, you can take your content with you using our "Download Your Content" feature.

2. Does MeWe sell my data?

Never. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third-party marketers. We think the practice of "data mining" is creepy, so we just don't do it.

3. How does the MeWe feed work? 

Most social networks use algorithms to decide what you see. MeWe is different. We do not manipulate, filter, or change the order of your newsfeed. You see what your friends and groups post, in the order they post it. You are in total control.

5. What information does MeWe collect?

To keep the lights on and the platform secure, we collect basic information like:

• Account Info: Your name, email, or phone number.

• Technical Data: IP address and device type (used to prevent fraud and hacking).

• Preferences: Language and privacy settings.

• Optional Data: Geolocation (only if you choose to share it).

6. Does MeWe use Facial Recognition?

No. Your face is your business. We do not use facial recognition technology to tag you or identify you in photos.

7. Can I delete my account?

Yes. You have the right to delete your account at any time. When you do, your personal data is removed from our active servers.

8. How do I manage my privacy settings?

You can customize who sees your posts and who can contact you directly in your Settings > Privacy menu. You can also opt out of the Member Directory if you prefer to remain invisible to search.
