How many people will I be able to follow and is there a limit?

Switching to a Public Profile allows users to have more than 8,000 followers, with no limit on the number of followers for public accounts.

Up to 8,000 people can follow a Private Profile, and if this limit is exceeded, users will be prompted to make their account public.

You cannot follow more than 8000 people, regardless of whether your account is public or private.
