How to Use the mewe Account Switcher

Whether you are balancing a personal profile with a passion project, or keeping your close friends separate from your public hobbies, mewe’s Account Switcher makes it seamless to jump between profiles without the hassle of logging out and back in.

Currently, this feature is available as a Web experience.

How It Works

If your login credentials grant you access to more than one mewe account, you will automatically see the Account Switcher control in your primary navigation bar. This control always displays the name and avatar of the account you are currently using.

How to Switch Accounts:

1. Click the hamburger icon in the primary navigation menu.
   

2. Select the Account you want to switch to, add account if you are adding an additional Account for the first time
   

3. Your page will instantly refresh, loading the feed, messages, and permissions for your selected account 

💡 Note: If you only have one account, the Account Switcher control will remain hidden to keep your navigation bar clean and clutter-free.

I used to have access to an account, but it disappeared from my switcher. What happened?

If your access to a specific account is revoked or deactivated, that account will automatically disappear from your switcher list. If you attempt to navigate to a saved link or bookmark belonging to that account, mewe will safely redirect you back to one of your active, valid accounts.

Is this feature available on the mewe iOS or Android apps?

Not just yet! We are currently testing and perfecting the Account Switcher on the Web version of mewe. Mobile app support is down the pipeline, so stay tuned!
