Yes, you can switch your account from Public to Private as often as needed. However, if you have more than 8000 followers then your account can only be Public and you won't be able to switch it to Private. Also, keep in mind it may take some time for the account update to propagate through MeWe's systems, so people may still be able to see your content publicly for a few hours after you switch your account to private. Any of your public content that has been indexed by search engines outside of MeWe will still be visible thereafter you switch your account to Private.
